We are looking forward to joining the attendees of this year’s Automotive Interiors Expo Europe in Messe Stuttgart, Germany on November 12-14th. While we’re not exhibiting at this year’s event, we’re excited to peruse the show and make connections on the floor with other visitors.
With production capabilities in Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mexico, Sanwa Screen is able to support automotive production around the world. So, Europe, here we come!
The Expo is a place for manufacturing and interior design teams to come together and see the latest in auto design solutions and technologies first-hand.
When we exhibited at the North America version of the show in 2022, we were thrilled to showcase our better-known capabilities — such as injection molding and in-mold labeling (IML) — plus new trends in Fine Expression Silk Printing (FESP) and graphic technologies.
Since then, we’ve worked with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to perfect this technology and explore its capabilities. FESP opens the window for originality. Designers are finding new ways to break the mold — so to speak — and be unique with auto interior finishes that add intrigue and value, such as:
1st surface printing (glossy, matte or low gloss)
1st surface texture
Deadfront
3D patterns
Woodgrain designs
Marble/stone designs
Hairline designs
Part of the reason we continue attending the Auto Interiors Expo each year is to keep our fingers on the pulse of industry trends, so that when you approach Sanwa Screen USA about an innovative new part idea, we’ve seen it firsthand, too.
The three-day event is perfect for interior designers, manufacturers, and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers. The show is all about quality, color, texture — it’s a great opportunity to see, feel, and connect in-person in the rapidly changing world of auto design. This year, speciality finishes promise to be a strong theme. We’re looking forward to checking out the newest interior innovations, and also being a resource for other attendees at the show when it comes to questions about IML and high-definition printing.
Based on interactions when hosting a booth at the show in years past, here are some resources that might be helpful for gathering information about auto interior parts design and production ahead of time:
